Relationships and Health Education

Relationships and Health Education is taught in the Summer term at North and we work with parents and carers to ensure children fully understand this important component of our PSHE curriculum. We define Relationships and Health Education as learning about caring friendships, families and people who care for me, respectful relationships, online relationships, being safe, growing up and puberty. On this page you will find links to what your children will be learning and the resources they are using so as you can support at home.

Our Vision

North's Relationships Education provides pupils with life-skills that will enable them to make informed decisions and protect themselves against harmful and exploitative situations. Relationships Education is therefore a tool to safeguard children.

Relationships Education contributes to the foundation of PSHE and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development and offers a valuable vehicle for promoting equality between individuals and groups. It involves an exploration of human and social diversity, and a fostering of self-worth whilst recognising, accepting and respecting differences. Our policy below lays out the content of our relationships curriculum
