Reading KS1

Only children whose attainment is below expected or who have below 90% attendance must complete Bug Club each week.

​

Children in reception, year 1 and 2 will have at least one Read, Write Inc reading book to read each week and a library book. They should be able to read these books to you or a family member by themselves.

 

Must read books are great books, chosen by teachers. The children may not be able to read them, they can be read to children.

 

At North we send home lots of books, because we don't want any of our children to be without a book to read.

KS2 Reading

 

Children in Years 3,4,5 &6 should read at least one library book and must read each week, longer books may take more than a week to read.

If their attainment is below expected/ they have below 90% attendance, they should also complete the assigned Bug Club.

​

At North we send home lots of books, because we don't want any of our children to be without a book to read.
