Children in EYFS (Reception) start to learn to read using our phonics scheme, Read, Write Inc. They also bring home library books to share with their family and are read lots of great books in class. Once children finish the phonics scheme, they will continue to learn reading through our English scheme Literacy Tree, the books they will study are below. 

All children have access to additional books from our Library, and each year group has a set of 'must read' books, which are great books that they are encouraged to read throughout the year. 

Learning and loving reading is very important to us here at North.
