Safeguarding Policy
Safeguarding children is the responsibility of all staff that come in contact with children. North Primary has an extensive safeguarding policy that is regularly reviewed and updated to give guidance and direction. The Ealing Staff Code of Conduct includes statutory child protection requirements and the standards of behaviour expected of staff.

Early Intervention and EHAP
We fully understand the complexities of our children’s needs and the impact that this has on family life. At North Primary, we invest heavily in providing early support to prevent concerns or challenges escalating into larger problems. The Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHAP) is a tool kit used when the needs of a child or family require multidisciplinary or multiagency work and a targeted approach.

Online Safety
At North, we are committed to keeping children safe online and ensuring that everything possible is done to support parents in monitoring and guiding their child’s online activity. All content accessed in school is filtered by LGfL, which prevents children from viewing inappropriate or harmful material. In addition, SENSO monitoring software is installed on all pupil devices; this system flags any attempts to access unsuitable content or concerning search terms, even though the filtering ensures the content cannot actually be opened. This helps us respond swiftly and appropriately to any emerging online safety concerns..

We also take part in Safer Internet (e-Safety) Week each year, delivering lessons and activities to help children develop safe and responsible online habits. Alongside this, we run e-safety workshops for parents to support families in keeping children safe at home. Please look out for upcoming events in our school calendar and newsletters.

Prevent
At North, we take our duty to prevent radicalisation seriously. The risk of radicalisation falls within our safeguarding policy and procedures and the lead professional is the designated child protection officer. We also have a safeguarding committee consisting of a range of professionals within the school. The school works with pupils parents/carers and others stakeholders to promote British Values, tolerance and respect. Please click on the links for full details.
