Behaviour and Relationships
At North Primary School, we believe that positive behaviour and strong relationships are the foundation for successful learning and personal growth. Our ethos of “Imagine, Believe, Achieve” underpins everything we do, and we expect all members of our school community to uphold these values every day.

We have high expectations of all children. We know that behaviour, relationships, and attitude to learning have a profound impact on academic outcomes and life chances. That’s why we work together to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Our approach is rooted in positivity and consistency. We teach children the language of emotions, model courtesy, and celebrate achievements through praise and rewards. Our Golden Rules – Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be the Best You Can Be – guide daily life in school and help children develop independence, responsibility, and pride in themselves and their community.

Our Relationships and Behaviour Policy is closely linked to our Safeguarding Policy, ensuring that every child is protected and supported. When behaviour raises concerns about a child’s wellbeing, we follow clear safeguarding procedures to keep children safe.

If parents have a concern about behaviour, we ask that they first speak to the class teacher. If the matter needs further discussion, please speak to a member of the Leadership Team – we are always here to listen and work together to find solutions.
